Compartment Lid Replacement - Rear

Removal Procedure

1. Open the rear compartment.
2. Remove the rear compartment lid trim panel. refer to Compartment Lid Trim Replacement - Rear (Compartment Lid Trim Replacement - Rear) .
3. Disconnect the rear compartment lid wiring harness from the body main harness.
4. Remove the rear compartment lid strut rods. refer to Strut Replacement - Rear Compartment Lid (Coupe/Sedan) (Service and Repair)




5. Remove the bolts securing the rear compartment lid to the rear compartment lid hinge with an assistant.
6. Remove the rear compartment lid from the vehicle with an assistant.
7. Remove the rear compartment lid applique. refer to Compartment Lid Applique Replacement - Rear () .
8. Remove the rear compartment lid latch. refer to Latch Replacement - Rear Compartment Lid (Service and Repair) .
9. Remove the rear compartment lid overslam bumpers from the rear compartment lid.
10. Remove the rear compartment lid drain plugs from the rear compartment lid.
11. Remove the rear compartment lid wiring harness from the rear compartment lid.



Installation Procedure

1. Install the rear compartment lid drain plugs into the rear compartment lid.
2. Install the rear compartment lid overslam bumpers to the rear compartment lid.
3. Install the rear compartment lid latch. refer to Latch Replacement - Rear Compartment Lid (Service and Repair) .
4. Install the rear compartment lid applique. refer to Compartment Lid Applique Replacement - Rear () .




5. Install the rear compartment lid wiring harness to the rear compartment lid.
6. Install the rear compartment lid to the vehicle with an assistant.
Notice: refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

Install the bolts in order to secure the rear compartment lid to the rear compartment lid to the hinge.

Tighten the bolts to 25 Nm (18 lb ft).

7. Install the rear compartment lid strut rod. refer to Strut Replacement - Rear Compartment Lid (Coupe/Sedan) (Service and Repair)
8. Adjust rear compartment lid as necessary.
9. Connect the rear compartment lid wiring harness to the body main harness.
10. Install the rear compartment lid trim panel. refer to Compartment Lid Trim Replacement - Rear (Compartment Lid Trim Replacement - Rear) .
11. Close the rear compartment.
