Impact Bar Replacement - Front Bumper

Removal Procedure

1. Raise and support the vehicle. refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
2. Remove the front bumper fascia. refer to Fascia Replacement - Front Bumper (Fascia Replacement - Front Bumper) .




3. Remove the bolts that secure the impact bar (1) to the front energy absorbers.
4. Remove the front impact bar (1) from the energy absorbers.



Installation Procedure





1. Install the front impact bar (1) to the front energy absorbers.

Notice: refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the bolts in order to secure the impact bar to the energy absorbers.

1. Install the inboard bolts on the right side first.
2. Install the inboard bolt on the left side second.
3. Install the remaining outboard bolt third.

Tighten the bolts to 25 Nm (18 lb ft) in sequence, as illustrated.


3. Install the front bumper fascia. refer to Fascia Replacement - Front Bumper (Fascia Replacement - Front Bumper) .
4. Lower the vehicle.
