Garnish Molding Replacement - Rear Door Frame

Tools Required

J 38778 Door Trim Pad and Clip Remover


Removal Procedure

1. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Side Rear Door Service and Repair




2. Using the J 38778 remove the push pins.




3. Remove the rear door frame garnish molding (1) by pulling the molding away from the door window opening flange.



Installation Procedure






Important: Reinstall any clips that were pulled off the garnish molding (1), and replace any broken clips if the garnish molding is going to be reused.


1. Install the rear door frame garnish molding (1) to the window opening.
2. Engage the clips to the door inner panel flange.
3. Install the two push pins (2) into the locator holes in the door panel at each end of the garnish molding.
4. Install the door trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Side Rear Door Service and Repair
