Instrument Panel (IP) - Accessory Trim Plate Replacement - Left Side (RHD)

TRIM PLATE REPLACEMENT - INSTRUMENT PANEL (I/P) ACCESSORY LEFT (RHD)

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Disable the SIR. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 3 and SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 5 in Restraint Systems.

CAUTION: Refer to SIR Caution in Service Precautions.

2. Remove the instrument panel (I/P) upper trim pad.
3. Remove the I/P cluster trim panel.
4. Remove the inflatable restraint instrument panel module.
5. Remove the screws from trim panel.




6. Remove the two screws from the straps at the carrier.
7. Pull rearward on the trim panel in order to remove the trim panel.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Align the trim panel with the I/P retainer.
2. Push forward on the trim plate in order to engage the three retainers, while aligning the A/C housing with the A/C ducts.
3. Install the screws.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Tighten
Tighten the screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).




4. Install the screws through the straps to the carrier.

Tighten
Tighten the screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

5. Install the I/P cluster trim panel.
6. Install the inflatable restraint instrument panel module.
7. Install the I/P upper trim pad.
8. Enable the SIR. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 3 and SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 5 in Restraint Systems.
