Instrument Panel Compartment - Close Out Panel Replacement Rear

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Open the rear compartment lid.
2. Remove the rear compartment opening weatherstrip.
3. Gently pry the top and rear edge of the rear compartment close-out panel (3) to release the tape strip.
4. Rotate the rear compartment close-out panel (3) up and back to release the clips (2).
5. Remove the rear compartment close-out panel (3) from the vehicle.
6. Clean the old adhesive from the body panel and the rear compartment close-out panel (if reusing).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. If reusing the rear compartment close-out panel (3) apply a dubble-coated acrylic foam tape strip to the top and rear edge of the rear compartment close-out panel (3).
2. Peel the backing from the tape.
3. Install the rear compartment close-out panel (3) to the vehicle.
4. Press the rear compartment close-out panel (3) forward and down to engage the retainers (1 and 2).
5. Install the rear compartment opening weatherstrip.
6. Close the rear compartment lid.
