Hood Latch Replacement - Secondary

Removal Procedure

1. Open the hood.




2. Remove the remote handle rod (2) retaining clip.
3. Remove the bolts that retain the secondary latch (3).
4. Remove the latch from hood.



Installation Procedure





1. Position the secondary latch (3) to the hood (1).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the 2 bolts that retain the secondary latch (3).

Tighten the bolts to 12 N.m (106 lb in).

3. Install the remote handle rod (2) and the retaining clip.
4. Inspect the secondary latch operation.
Close the hood.
