Instrument Panel Accessory Trim Plate Replacement - Left Side (RHD)

Removal Procedure
Caution: Refer to SIR Handling Caution.





1. Disable the SIR.
2. Remove the IP upper trim pad. Refer to Instrument Panel Upper Trim Pad Replacement (Service and Repair).
3. Remove the IP cluster trim panel. Refer to Instrument Cluster Trim Panel Replacement (Instrument Cluster Trim Panel Replacement).
4. Remove the inflatable restraint instrument panel module.
5. Remove the screws from trim panel.




6. Remove the two screws from the straps at the carrier.
7. Pull rearward on the trim panel in order to remove the trim panel.



Installation Procedure





1. Align the trim panel with the IP retainer.
2. Push forward on the trim plate in order to engage the three retainers, while aligning the A/C housing with the A/C ducts.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.

3. Install the screws.

Tighten the screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).





4. Install the screws through the straps to the carrier.

Tighten the screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

5. Install the IP cluster trim panel. Instrument Cluster Trim Panel Replacement (Instrument Cluster Trim Panel Replacement).
6. Install the inflatable restraint instrument panel module. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Instrument Panel Module Replacement.
7. Install the IP upper trim pad. Refer to Instrument Panel Upper Trim Pad Replacement (Service and Repair).
8. Enable the SIR. Refer to Enabling the SIR System.
