Latch Replacement - Console Compartment Door (Upper)

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Open the console compartment upper lid in order to access the console tray. The console tray insert should be visible.
2. Remove the 4 fasteners (1) that retain the armrest inner trim panel (2).
3. Remove the armrest inner trim panel (2).
4. Remove the 2 fasteners that hold the console armrest latch to the console armrest.
5. Remove the console armrest latch from the console armrest.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the console armrest latch to the console arm rest.
2. Install the fasteners that retain the console armrest latch to the console armrest.
3. Tighten the armrest latch fasteners.
4. Install the armrest inner trim panel (2).
5. Install the armrest inner trim panel fasteners (1), fully driven, seated and not stripped.
6. Tighten the armrest inner trim panel fasteners, fully driven, seated and not stripped.
7. Verify proper operation of the console armrest latch, and adjust the console lid latch if necessary.
