Rear Floor Panel Carpet Replacement

J 38778 Door Trim Pad Clip Remover

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the front seats. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket (Front Seat Replacement - Bucket) in Seats.
2. Remove the center console. Refer to Console Replacement (UV8) (Console Replacement (With RPO Code UV8))Console Replacement (w/o UV8) (Console Replacement (Without RPO Code UV8)) in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
3. Remove the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement (Rear Seat Cushion Replacement) in Seats.
4. Remove the front carpet retainers. Refer to Front Carpet Retainer Replacement (Front Carpet Retainer Replacement).
5. Remove the rear carpet retainers. Refer to Rear Carpet Retainer Replacement (Rear Carpet Retainer Replacement).
6. Using a J 38778 remove the 4 retainers from the front and rear carpet overlap seam.
7. Carefully disengage the floor ducts from the floor duct assembly.
8. Remove the rear carpet from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

1. Place the rear carpet into the vehicle.
2. Lift the rear edge of the front carpeting in order to attach the rear carpeting duct assembly.
3. Ensure the floor ducts are securely attached to the floor duct assembly.
4. Install the 4 retainers into the floor pan at the front and rear carpet overlap seam.
5. Install the rear carpet retainers. Refer to Rear Carpet Retainer Replacement (Rear Carpet Retainer Replacement).
6. Install the front carpet retainers. Refer to Front Carpet Retainer Replacement (Front Carpet Retainer Replacement).
7. Install the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement (Rear Seat Cushion Replacement) in Seats.
8. Install the center console. Refer to Console Replacement (UV8) (Console Replacement (With RPO Code UV8))Console Replacement (w/o UV8) (Console Replacement (Without RPO Code UV8)) in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
9. Install the front seats. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket (Front Seat Replacement - Bucket) in Seats.
