Wheelhouse Panel Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the front wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.
2. Remove the front wheelhouse extension. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Extension Replacement (Front Bumper Fascia Extension Replacement).




3. Remove the fasteners (2, 3) retaining the front wheelhouse panel (1) to the upper fender.
4. Remove the fasteners (4) from the lower rocker panel.
5. Remove the two upper fasteners to the front extension.
6. Remove the front wheelhouse panel (1) from the inner fender.


Installation Procedure




1. Install the front wheelhouse panel (1) to the inner fender.
2. Install the upper fender fastener (5) in order to locate and hold the front wheelhouse panel (1) to the inner fender.
3. Install the fasteners (3) in order to secure the extension to wheelhouse.
4. Install the two upper fasteners to the front extension.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

5. Install the fasteners (4) in order to secure the front wheelhouse panel (1) to the rocker panel molding.

Tighten the fasteners to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

6. Install the front wheelhouse extension. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Extension Replacement (Front Bumper Fascia Extension Replacement).
7. Install the front wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.
