Lower Control Arm Bushings Replacement

- Tools Required
- J 21474-5 Bushing Receiver
- J 21474-18 3/8 Inch Nut
- J 21474-19 3/8 Inch Bolt
- J 42092 Front Lower Control Arm Horizontal Bushing Remover/Installer Kit
- J 42112-4 Rear Differential Remover/Installer Tool
- J 42200 Rear Lower Control Arm Bushing Remover/Installer Bolt

Removal Procedure

Caution: To avoid any vehicle damage, serious personal injury or death when major components are removed from the vehicle and the vehicle is supported by a hoist, support the vehicle with jack stands at the opposite end from which the components are being removed.





1. Remove the lower control arm.
2. Position the J 42092-1 and position the J 42092-2.
3. Press out the horizontal bushing.





4. Position the J 21474-18, J 21474-5, J 421124 and position the J 21474-19.
5. Press out the vertical bushing.

Installation Procedure





1. Position the J 21474-18,J 21474-5, and position the J 21474-19.
2. Press the vertical bushing into the lower control arm until flush.





3. Position the J 42091-1 and position the J 42092-2.
4. Press the horizontal bushing into the lower control until flush.
5. Install the lower control arm.
