License Plate Lamp: Service and Repair

LICENSE LAMP REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the rear license plate lamp screws from the rear fascia.




2. Remove the rear license plate lamp from the rear fascia.
3. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the license plate lamp.
4. Remove the protective boot retaining plate (1) from the license plate lamp.
5. Remove the rubber protective boot (2) to reveal the bulb.
6. Remove the license plate bulb from the license plate lamp.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the license plate bulb to the license plate lamp.
2. Install the rubber protective boot (2) over the bulb.
3. Install the retaining plate (1) to secure the boot.
4. Connect the electrical connectors to the license plate lamp.
5. Install the rear license plate lamp to the rear fascia.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.




6. Install the rear license lamp screws to the fascia.

Tighten
Tighten the rear license lamp screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).
