Oil Baffle Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Disconnect the battery negative cable.
2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
3. Drain the engine oil.
4. Remove the lower oil pan.
5. Remove the upper oil pan.
6. Remove the oil baffle bolts.
7. Remove the oil baffle.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the oil baffle.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the oil baffle bolts.
Tighten the oil baffle bolts to 8 Nm (71 inch lbs.).
3. Install the upper oil pan.
4. Install the lower oil pan.
5. Lower the vehicle.
6. Fill the crankcase with engine oil.
7. Connect the battery negative cable.
