Assist Handle and Molding Replacement - Rear Door

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the ashtray.
2. Remove the door assist handle molding screw.
3. Remove the door assist handle molding.




4. Remove the door panel.
5. Disconnect the actuating rod from the door latch.
6. Slide the door assist handle forward.
7. Remove the door assist handle.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the door assist handle to the door.
2. Connect the actuating rod to the door latch.
3. Install the door panel.
4. Install the door assist handle molding.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

5. Install the door assist handle screw.

Tighten
Tighten the screw to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).




6. Install the ashtray.
7. Verify the door operation.
