Console Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the gear selector boot from the console.
The boot snaps into the console and can be removed by gently pulling up on the front end of the boot.
2. Remove the shift indicator by reaching through the console opening near the gear selector.
3. Remove the connector from the shift indicator.
4. Remove the winter mode switch.




5. Remove the console trim plate screws.
6. Move the console trim plate forward to access the front mounted console bolts.




7. Remove the bolts mounted in the front of the console.

Remove the park brake boot (1) by carefully prying on sides of boot.




9. Remove the screw from the center of the park brake trim panel.




10. Remove the bolts mounted in the rear of the console.
11. Remove the console.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the console into the mounting position.
2. Reposition the shift selector to the park position.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

3. Install the bolts mounted in the rear of the console.

Tighten the bolts to 2 Nm (18 lb in).




4. Install the screw in the center of the park brake trim panel.

Tighten the screw to 2 Nm (18 lb in).

Install the park brake boot (1).




6. Install the bolts mounted in the front of the console.

Tighten the bolts to 3 Nm (27 lb in).




7. Install the console trim plate.
8. Install the console trim plate screws.

Tighten the screws to 2 Nm (18 lb in).




9. Install the winter mode switch.
10. Install the connector to the shift indicator.
11. Install the shift indicator by snapping into place.
12. Install the gear selector boot to the lower console.
