Fuel Tank Filler Door Lock Actuator Replacement

The fuel filler door has a actuator button located on the right side of the radio in the center of the I/P bezel. The fuel tank filler door actuator is located on the right rear inner wheel well behind the rear compartment storage/CD player door.

Removal Procedure




1. Open the rear compartment storage/CD player door (3).




2. Remove the electrical connector from the fuel tank filler door lock actuator.
3. Remove the screws (2) from the fuel tank filler door lock actuator (1).
4. Remove the screws (4) from the fuel tank filler door lock actuator mounting plate (3).
5. Remove the fuel tank filler door lock actuator (1).

Installation Procedure




1. Install the fuel tank filler door actuator (1).
2. Adjust the fuel tank filler door lock actuator plunger until it aligns with the fuel filler door latch plate.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

3. Install the screws (4) to the fuel tank filler door lock actuator mounting plate.

Tighten the fuel tank filler door lock actuator mounting plate screws to 3 Nm (27 lb in).

4. Install the screws (2) to the fuel tank filler door lock actuator (1).

Tighten the fuel tank filler door lock actuator screws to 3 Nm (27 lb in).

5. Install the electrical connector to the fuel tank filler door actuator.




6. Close the rear compartment storage/CD player door (3).
