Front Side Door Lock Striker Adjustment

Tools Required

J 42418 Mini Wedge Door Striker Aligner




1. Loosen the front door lock striker screws enough to allow movement of the striker.
2. Install J 42418 to striker.
3. Move the front door lock striker up or down and inward or outward.
4. Close the front door while holding the outside handle in the open position until door is flush with the adjacent panel.
5. Open the front door.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

6. Install the front door lock striker screws.

Tighten the front door lock striker screws to 20 Nm (15 lb ft).

7. Remove the J 42418 from the striker.
8. Close the front door.
