Remote Control: Service and Repair
STEERING WHEEL CONTROL SWITCHES REPLACEMENTREMOVAL PROCEDURE
CAUTION: Refer to SIR Inflator Module Handling And Storage Caution in Service Precautions.
1. Disable the SIR system.
2. Remove the inflatable restraint steering wheel module from the steering wheel.
3. Disconnect the electrical connectors (3) for the steering wheel radio control switches (1).
4. Remove the screws (2) from the steering wheel radio control switches (1).
5. Remove the steering wheel radio control switches (1) and electrical wire harness from the steering wheel.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the steering wheel radio control switches (1) and electrical wire harness to the steering wheel.
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
2. Install the screws (2) to the steering wheel radio control switches (1).
Tighten
Tighten the screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).
3. Connect the electrical connectors (3) for the steering wheel radio control switches (1).
4. Install the inflatable restraint steering wheel module to the steering wheel.
5. Enable the SIR system.
