A Symptoms - Wiper/Washer Systems

IMPORTANT: Review the system operation in order to familiarize yourself with the system functions. Refer to Wiper and Washer Systems Operation.

VISUAL/PHYSICAL INSPECTION
^ Inspect for aftermarket devices which could affect the operation of the Wipers/Washer System. Refer to Checking Aftermarket Accessories at Diagnostic Aids under Diagrams.
^ Inspect the easily accessible or visible system components for obvious damage or conditions which could cause the symptom.
^ Inspect the windshield washer reservoir for the proper fluid level.

INTERMITTENT
Faulty electrical connections or wiring may be the cause of intermittent conditions. Refer to Testing for Intermittent and Poor Connections at Diagnostic Aids under Diagrams.

SYMPTOM LIST

^ Wipers Delay Mode Inoperative (W/O CE1) or
^ Wipers Delay Mode Inoperative (W/CE1) or

^ Wipers High Mode Inoperative, Low Mode Operates
^ Wipers Low Mode Inoperative, High Mode Operates
^ Wipers Low or High Modes Intermittent
^ Wipers Always On
^ Wipers Blades Do Not Park
^ Washers Inoperative
^ Washers Always On
^ Wiper Arm Tip Pressure Check, Blade Element Check
^ CHECK WASHER FLUID Message Always On
^ CHECK WASHER FLUID Message Inoperative
