Retained Accessory Power (RAP) Circuit
The Dash Integration Module (DIM) monitors and determines the ignition switch status (OFF, ACCESSORY, etc.). When the DIM determines that the ignition switch has been turned to the OFF or RAP Unlock position, it sends out a RAP status message via Class 2. The following modules remain active during the RAP state:^ Cellular telephone module
^ LH front door module
^ LH front power window switch
^ LH rear door module
^ Memory seat module
^ Navigation data processor
^ Navigation display module
^ Radio (W/UY4)
^ Radio (W/O UY4)
^ Radio amplifier (W/U57)
^ Radio amplifier (W/O U57)
^ Rear Integration Module (RIM)
^ RH front door module
^ RH rear door module
^ Steering column module
The RIM energizes the RAP relay, allowing voltage to the sunroof control module. After approximately 10 minutes, the DIM sends out another message via Class 2 to disable the RAP state.
The DIM receives door status (OPEN, CLOSED) from the door modules via Class 2. When the DIM determines that a passenger compartment door has been opened it sends out a message via Class 2 to disable the RAP state, regardless of the elapsed time.
