Front Floor Panel Carpet Replacement

Removal Procedure
1. Remove the front seats. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket (Front Seat Replacement - Bucket) in Seats.
2. Remove the center console. Refer to Console Replacement (w/o UV8) (Console Replacement (Without RPO Code UV8))Console Replacement (UV8) (Console Replacement (With RPO Code UV8)) in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
3. Remove the front carpet retainers. Refer to Front Carpet Retainer Replacement (Front Carpet Retainer Replacement) .
4. Using J 38778 remove the four retainers from the front and rear carpet overlap seam.
5. Separate the floor vents from the floor ducts before removing the front carpet.
Installation Procedure
Caution: In order to avoid personal injury or vehicle damage when you repair or replace the carpet, use the same thickness and material size as the original installation. Always return the carpet to the original location.
1. Place the front carpet into the vehicle.
2. Work the front edges of the carpet into place under the instrument panel.
3. Install the floor vent into the floor ducts.
4. Install the four retainers into the floor pan at the front and rear carpet overlap seam in order to secure the carpet.
5. Install the center console. Refer to Console Replacement (w/o UV8) (Console Replacement (Without RPO Code UV8))Console Replacement (UV8) (Console Replacement (With RPO Code UV8)) in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
6. Install the front carpet retainers. Refer to Front Carpet Retainer Replacement (Front Carpet Retainer Replacement) .
7. Install the front seats. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket (Front Seat Replacement - Bucket) in Seats.
