Front Fender Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the headlamp. Refer to Headlamp Replacement .
2. Remove the front bumper fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement (Front Bumper Fascia Replacement) .
3. Remove the hood. Refer to Hood Replacement (Service and Repair) .
4. Remove the front fender to hood seal. Refer to Seal Replacement - Fender to Hood (Seal Replacement - Fender to Hood) .
5. Remove the rear outer hood seal. Refer to Hood Rear Seal Replacement (Hood Rear Seal Replacement) .
6. Remove the front wheelhouse panel. Refer to Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement (Service and Repair) .
7. Remove the front fender sound insulator. Refer to Front Fender Insulator Replacement (Front Fender Insulator Replacement) .
8. Remove the rocker panel molding. Refer to Rocker Panel Molding Replacement () .

Notice: Refer to Tape Corners of Panel Notice in Cautions and Notices.





9. Remove the fastener (2) securing the lower front portion of the front fender (1) to the vehicle.




10. Remove the fasteners (3) securing the lower rear portion of the front fender (2) to the vehicle.




11. Remove the fastener (3) securing the upper rear portion of the front fender (2).




12. Remove the fasteners (2) securing the upper portion of the front fender (1) to the vehicle.
13. Remove the front fender (1) from the vehicle.



Installation Procedure





1. Install the front fender (1) to the vehicle.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the fasteners (2) in order to secure the upper portion of the front fender (1) to the vehicle.

Tighten the fasteners (2) to 9 N.m (80 lb in).





3. Install the fastener (3) in order to secure the upper rear portion of the front fender (2) to the vehicle.

Tighten the fastener (3) to 9 N.m (80 lb in).





4. Install the fasteners (3) in order to secure the lower rear portion of the front fender (2) to the vehicle.

Tighten the fasteners (3) to 9 N.m (80 lb in).





5. Install the fasteners (2) in order to secure the lower front portion of the front fender (1).

Tighten the fasteners (2) to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

6. Install the front bumper fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement (Front Bumper Fascia Replacement) .
7. Install the hood. Refer to Hood Replacement (Service and Repair) .
8. Install the front fender to hood seal. Refer to Seal Replacement - Fender to Hood (Seal Replacement - Fender to Hood) .
9. Install the rear outer hood seal. Refer to Hood Rear Seal Replacement (Hood Rear Seal Replacement) .
10. Install the front wheelhouse panel. Refer to Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement (Service and Repair) .
11. Install the front fender sound insulator. Refer to Front Fender Insulator Replacement (Front Fender Insulator Replacement) .
12. Install the rocker panel molding. Refer to Rocker Panel Molding Replacement () .
13. Install the headlamp. Refer to Headlamp Replacement in Lighting Systems.
