Rear Compartment Lid Latch Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Open the rear compartment lid.
2. Remove the rear compartment lid trim panel. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Inner Panel Trim Replacement (Rear Compartment Lid Inner Panel Trim Replacement) .




3. Disconnect the electrical connector (1) from the rear compartment lid latch.




4. Remove the latch release cable (3) from the rear compartment lid (5).
5. Remove the bolts (1) retaining the rear compartment lid latch (2) to the rear compartment lid (5).
6. Remove the rear compartment lid latch (2) from the rear compartment lid (5).



Installation Procedure





1. Install the rear compartment lid latch (2) to the rear compartment lid (5).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the bolts (1) to retain the rear compartment lid latch (2) to the rear compartment lid (5).

Tighten the bolts (1) to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

3. Install the latch release cable (3) to the rear compartment lid (5).




4. Connect the electrical connector (1) to the rear compartment lid latch.
5. Install the rear compartment lid trim panel. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Inner Panel Trim Replacement (Rear Compartment Lid Inner Panel Trim Replacement) .
6. Close the rear compartment lid.
