Hood Latch Support Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Open the hood.
2. Remove the hood latch. Refer to Hood Primary and Secondary Latch Replacement (Hood Primary and Secondary Latch Replacement) .
3. Remove the ambient outside air temperature sensor. Refer to Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Replacement Service and Repair




4. Remove the lower bolts (1) retaining the hood latch support (2) to the vehicle.




5. Remove the upper bolts (1) retaining the hood latch support (2) to the vehicle.
6. Remove the hood latch support (2) from the vehicle.



Installation Procedure





1. Install the hood latch support (1) to the vehicle.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the bolts (3) to retain the hood latch support (1) to the vehicle.

Tighten the bolts (3) to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

3. Install the hood latch. Refer to Hood Primary and Secondary Latch Replacement (Hood Primary and Secondary Latch Replacement) .
4. Install the ambient outside temperature sensor. Refer to Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Replacement Service and Repair
5. Close the hood.
