Sealing Strip Replace-Front Door Bottom Auxiliary
REMOVAL PROCEDURETOOLS REQUIRED
J38778 Door Trim Pad Clip Remover
1. Open the door.
2. Using the J38778 remove the retainer (3) securing the bottom edge of the weatherstrip (1) to the rocker panel molding.
3. Gently pull the auxiliary strip (1) in order to disengage the retainers (2) from the B-pillar.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Using water, dampen the molded retainer pins (2) on the backside of the weatherstrip (1) in order to ease installation.
2. Position the auxiliary sealing strip to the B-pillar.
3. Start at the top of the auxiliary strip. Install the retainer pins to the B-pillar.
4. Secure the auxiliary strip (1) to the rocker panel molding using the push-in retainer (3).
5. Tuck the top edge of the auxiliary strip (1) under the end cap of the quarter window molding.
6. Close the door.
