Power Trunk / Liftgate Lock Switch: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
The fuel/rear compartment switch uses skin locks which grab the soft skin material of the IP. The skin lock feature may cause the switch to be hard to remove.
1. Remove the driver side IP end cap.
2. Push from inside of IP towards the inside of the vehicle to remove the fuel/rear compartment switch (2) from IP.
3. Remove electrical connector (1).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install electrical connector (1).
2. Align fuel/rear compartment switch (2) to IP and push firmly into IP retainer.
3. Install the driver side IP end cap.
