EGR Tube: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the bolt at water pump housing (3).

CAUTION: Refer to Vehicle Lifting Caution in Cautions and Notices.

2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
3. Remove the Crossover Exhaust Pipe.
4. Remove the nut from Crossover Exhaust Pipe (5).
5. Remove the EGR Valve Pipe (6).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install Crossover Exhaust Pipe.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install EGR Pipe Nut to Crossover Exhaust Pipe (5).

Tighten
Tighten the EGR Pipe Nut to 60 N.m (44 lb ft).

3. Lower the vehicle.
4. Install bolt at waterpump housing (3).

Tighten
Tighten the waterpump housing bolt to 24 N.m (18 lb ft).
