84. Accessory Installation

Drive Belt Tensioner Installation Procedure





1. Install the drive belt tensioner. Be sure to locate the tensioner anchor pin in the cylinder head recess.
2. Install the drive belt tensioner bolt.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

^ Tighten the drive belt tensioner bolt to 50 Nm (37 lb ft).

Air Conditioning Compressor Installation Procedure





1. Install the air conditioning compressor front mounting stud.
^ Tighten the air conditioning compressor front mounting stud to 25 Nm (18 lb ft).
2. Slide the air conditioning compressor over the air conditioning front mounting stud and hold the air conditioning compressor in position.
3. Install the air conditioning compressor side mounting bolts finger tight.





4. Install the air conditioning compressor front mounting bolt and nut finger tight.
5. Tighten the air conditioning compressor mounting bolts and nut in the following sequence:

5.1. Tighten the air conditioning compressor front mounting nut to 50 Nm (37 lb ft).
5.2. Tighten the air conditioning compressor front mounting bolt to 50 Nm (37 lb ft).
5.3. Tighten the air conditioning compressor side upper mounting bolt to 50 Nm (37 lb ft).
5.4. Tighten the air conditioning compressor side lower mounting bolt to 25 Nm (18 lb ft).

Generator Installation Procedure
1. Place the generator in position





2. Install the generator side mounting bolts finger tight.





3. Install the generator front mounting bolts finger tight.
4. Tighten the generator mounting bolts in the following sequence:

4.1. Tighten the generator front upper mounting bolt to 50 Nm (37 lb ft).
4.2. Tighten the generator side front mounting bolt to 50 Nm (37 lb ft).
4.3. Tighten the generator side rear mounting bolt to 50 Nm (37 lb ft).
4.4. Tighten the generator front lower mounting bolt to 50 Nm (37 lb ft).





5. Install the generator coolant upper pipe.





6. Install the generator coolant lower pipe with the upper and lower outlet hoses.
7. Install the generator coolant lower pipe bracket bolt.
^ Tighten the generator coolant lower pipe bracket bolt to 9 Nm (80 lb in).
8. Install the generator coolant upper outlet hose to the generator coolant upper pipe.
9. Install the generator coolant lower outlet hose to the generator.

Power Steering Pump Installation Procedure





1. Place the power steering pump in position in the engine valley. Slide the molded wedge into the retaining feature cast into the cylinder block.

Important: You MUST push the power steering pump toward the rear of the engine as much as possible before tightening the bolt.

2. Install the power steering pump bolt.
^ Tighten the power steering pump bolt to 50 Nm (37 lb ft).

Drive Belt Idler Pulley Installation Procedure





1. Place the drive belt idler pulley and bolt (1) in position.
2. Tighten the drive belt idler pulley bolt
^ Tighten the accessory belt idler bolt to 50 Nm (37 lb ft).
