The left and right massaging lumbar system consists of the lumbar switch, the lumbar massage module and 2 reversible motors (horizontal and vertical) that operate independently of each other. Each lumbar motor has a position sensor attached to it. The massaging lumbar can be found on both memory and non-memory seats. Moving the lumbar switch UP momentarily activates the massage feature. The lumbar vertical motor will move the lumbar support a total of 50 mm in each direction up and down and will run continuously in an up and down motion for 10 minutes or until the lumbar switch is momentarily pushed DOWN. Manually moving the lumbar switch in the UP or DOWN positions will cancel the massage feature and will move the lumbar support in the desired direction. The lumbar support can be adjusted during the massage cycle by moving the lumbar switch in either the IN or OUT positions. When equipped with memory, the lumbar massage will continue its normal operation during a memory recall. When massage has ceased, the lumbar vertical motor will return the lumbar support to the position programmed.
