(A45)
Battery positive voltage (B+) is supplied at all times to the left seat switch via CKT 3740 (ORN) from the rear fuse block PWR SEAT circuit breaker. The left seat switch is supplied ground via CKT 550 (BLK) to G302.Horizontal
When the left lumbar switch is operated to move the lumbar in, battery positive voltage (B+) is applied via the lumbar in switch contacts and CKT 1064 (DK BLU) to the Memory Seat Module (MSM). In response to this input, the MSM supplies battery positive voltage (B+) via CKT 610 (PNK) and ground via CKT 611 (DK BLU) to the left lumbar horizontal motor. The motor runs to drive the lumbar in, away from the driver's back, until the switch is released. When the left lumbar switch is operated to move the lumbar out, battery positive voltage (B+) is applied via the lumbar out switch contacts and CKT 1065 (YEL) to the MSM. In response to this input, the MSM supplies battery positive voltage (B+) via CKT 611 (DK BLU) and ground via CKT 610 (PNK) to the lumbar horizontal motor. The motor runs to drive the lumbar out, toward the driver's back, until the switch is released. The MSM will also control the left lumbar horizontal motor during memory recall functions.
Vertical
When the left lumbar switch is operated to move the lumbar up, battery positive voltage (B+) is applied via the lumbar up switch contacts and CKT 1066 (WHT) to the memory seat module (MSM). In response to this input, the MSM supplies battery positive voltage (B+) via CKT 768 (TAN) and ground via CKT 767 (PPL) to the left lumbar vertical motor. The motor runs in order to drive the lumbar up until the switch is released. When the left lumbar switch is operated in order to move the lumbar down, battery positive voltage (B+) is applied via the lumbar down switch contacts and CKT 1067 (YEL/BLK) to the MSM. In response to this input, the MSM supplies battery positive voltage (B+) via CKT 767 (PPL) and ground via CKT 768 (TAN) to the lumbar vertical motor. The motor runs to drive the lumbar down until the switch is released. The MSM will also control the left lumbar vertical motor during memory recall functions.
Position Sensors
The memory seat module (MSM) supplies a 5 volt reference voltage via CKT 788 (GRY) and reference ground via CKT 782 (BLK) to the respective lumbar position sensors. The MSM receives the feedback voltage input from the lumbar horizontal position sensor via CKT 1063 (YEL). The MSM receives the feedback voltage input from the lumbar vertical position sensor via CKT 1062 (BLK).
