Memory Function Switch
The left front power window switch receives inputs from the memory function switch. The left front
door module (LFDM) supplies a reference ground to the memory function switch via CKT 351 (BLK/WHT). When the SET button is pressed, the set input of the left front power window switch is temporarily grounded through the memory function switch via CKT 614 (ORN). When the 1 button is pressed, the 1 input of the left front power window switch is temporarily grounded through the memory function switch via CKT616 (PPL). When the 2 button is pressed, the 2 input of the left front power window switch is temporarily grounded through the memory function switch via CKT 615 (WHT). When the EXIT button is pressed, both the 1 and 2 inputs of the left front power window switch are simultaneously grounded through the memory function switch via CKT 616 (PPL) and CKT 615 (WHT). After receiving an input from the memory function switch, the left front power window switch sends a simple bus interface message to the left front door module (LFDM). In response, the LFDM sends a class 2 message to the memory seat module (MSM) indicating that a memory function has been requested.
