Front Heated Seats
Battery positive voltage (B+) is applied at all times to the left front heated seat module via CKT 2440 (ORN) from the rear fuse block HTDST LF Fuse. The left front heated seat module and the left front heated seat switch are grounded via CKT 550 (BLK) to G302. Battery positive voltage (B+) is applied at all times to the right front heated seat module via CKT 2540 (ORN) from the HTDST RF Fuse. The right front heated seat module and the right front heated seat switch are grounded via CKT 650 (BLK) to G302. Battery positive voltage (B+) is applied to each front heated seat module ignition input via CKT 41 (BRN) from the IGN 3 RR Fuse with the ignition switch in the ON position. The heated seats will operate only with the ignition switch in the ON position. Each front heated seat is controlled by a separate heated seat switch. When the front heated seat switch is pressed, the front heated seat module heated seat switch input is momentarily grounded via CKT 1501 (PNK) (left) or CKT 1503 (PNK/BLK) (right) and the front heated seat switch contact. The front heated seat module then applies or removes battery positive voltage (B+) to the front heated seat heating elements. The front heated seat module monitors the seat surface temperature through a thermistor and maintains a pre-determined temperature.
When the heated seat is oft and the front heated seat switch is pressed once, the front heated seat module will set the heated seat temperature to HIGH. The front heated seat module supplies battery positive voltage (B+) via CKT 1661 (DK GRN) (left) or CKT 1685 (YEL) (right) to the front heated seat switch high heat LED. When pressed again, the heated seat temperature is then set to LOW. The front heated seat module supplies battery positive voltage (B+) via CKT 1662 (GRY/BLK) (left) or CKT 1686 (TAN) (right) to the front heated seat switch low heat LED. After the third press of the front heated seat switch, the front heated seat module removes battery positive voltage (B+) to the front heated seat heating elements. The front heated seat module will also turn oft the heated seat whenever the ignition switch has been turned to the OFF position.
