Trunk / Liftgate Handle: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE



1. Open the rear compartment.
2. Remove the rear compartment trim.
3. Remove the nut that retains the pass thru release handle.
4. Remove the handle from the retaining bolt.




5. Remove the cable from the pass thru release handle.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE



1. Insert the cable into the release handle.
2. Install the pass thru release handle on to the retaining bolt.




3. Install the nut in order to retain the release handle.

Tighten
Tighten the nut to 5 N.m (4 lb ft).

4. Install the rear compartment trim.
5. Close the rear compartment lid.
