Memory & Personalization Programming - Feature Programming
If both the "ON and OFF are lit, the settings for that feature will not be able to be changed using the DIC. Both being lit indicates that a module did not respond to the cluster with personalization information when the feature programming was entered. Either the module in question, the Class 2 bus, or the cluster has a problem. If both the ON and OFF are blank (not lit), then the cluster has received invalid data from the module(s) in question and the settings for that feature will not be able to be changed using the DIC. This will typically occur when two different modules are involved in the setting (ie, Memory Seat Module and Tilt/Telescoping Module for Recall and Exit selections) and the two modules do not agree as to whether the feature is ON or OFF. This could also occur if a module sends an invalid state to the cluster. The Scan Tool will have to be used to toggle the feature setting for the module(s) in question so that they agree or contain valid states. Once they agree then the DIC can again be used to change the settings if needed.1. Turn the ignition to ON.
