Closeout/Insulator Panel Replacement - Left (LHD)

REMOVAL PROCEDURE



1. Remove the fasteners (1) at the rear edge of the insulator to disengage from the lower Instrument Panel (IP).
2. Push in on the snap tab retainers to release.




3. Disconnect the electrical connectors (1, 3) as necessary.




4. Slide the insulator (2) rearward in the vehicle to clear the emergency brake bracket.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE



1. Slide the insulator (2) over the top of the emergency brake bracket.




2. Reconnect the electrical connectors (1, 3).




3. Set the forward edge of the panel onto the shelf on carpeting at front of vehicle.
4. Align the insulator to the floor duct at the HVAC module.
5. Align the snap tab fasteners to the IP lower and push upward to engage.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

6. Install the insulator fasteners (1) into the lower IP.

Tighten
Tighten the fasteners to 2 N.m (15 lb in).
