Ignition Lock Cylinder

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Disable the Supplemental Inflatable Restraint (SIR) system.
2. Remove the steering wheel inflator module.
3. Remove the steering wheel.
4. Remove the tilt lever.





5. Remove the screw caps from the upper steering column cover.
6. Remove the screws from the upper steering column cover.
7. Remove the upper steering column cover.





8. Remove the screws from the lower steering column cover.
9. Remove the lower steering column cover.
10. Remove the inflatable restraint steering wheel module coil.





11. Disconnect the electrical connector from the theft deferent module (1).
12. Remove the theft deferent module (1) from the ignition lock cylinder housing.





13. Insert a small pointed awl or wire into the ignition lock cylinder release pin hole.
14. Pull out the ignition lock cylinder.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE





1. Install the lock cylinder:
- Look into the hole that receives the ignition lock cylinder on the lower RH side in order to locate the locking lever.
- Carefully push down on the locking lever using a small flat-bladed tool until an audible click is heard.
- Install the ignition lock cylinder.





2. Install the theft deferent module (1) to the cylinder lock housing.
3. Connect the electrical connector to the theft deferent module (1).
4. Install the inflatable restraint steering wheel module coil.





5. Install the lower steering column cover.
6. Install the screws to the lower steering column cover.





7. Install the upper steering column cover.
8. Install the screws to the upper steering column cover.
9. Install the screw caps to the upper steering column cover.
10. Install the tilt lever.
11. Install the steering wheel.
12. Install the steering wheel inflator module.
13. Enable the Supplemental Inflatable Restraint (SIR) system.
