Evaporative System Service Port: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

CAUTION:
^ Refer to Gasoline/Gasoline Vapors Caution in Service Precautions.
^ Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Service Precautions.




1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Loosen the fuel filler cap
3. Disconnect the purge line quick-connect fittings on both sides of the service port.
4. Remove the fastener at the bracket.
5. Remove the service port from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Mount the service port to the bracket.
2. Install and tighten the fastener.
3. Clean any contamination from the male line ends. Then, apply a few drops of clean engine oil.
4. Connect the purge lines to both sides of the service port.
5. Tighten the fuel filler cap.
6. Connect the negative battery cable.
