Canister Purge Control Valve: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Loosen the fuel filler cap in order to relieve the system pressure.
2. Remove the intake plenum.
3. Remove the valve bracket mounting bolt.
4. Disconnect the harness connector from the valve.
5. Disconnect the purge line and the vacuum source line from the valve.
6. Remove the purge valve.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Connect the purge line and the vacuum source line to the valve.
2. Connect the harness connector.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install the valve bracket mounting bolt.

Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 12 N.m (106 lb in)

4. Install the intake plenum.
5. Tighten the fuel filler cap.
