License Plate Lamp: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE



1. Remove the rear license plate lamp screws from the rear fascia.




2. Remove the rear license plate lamp from the rear fascia.
3. Remove electrical connections.
4. Remove the protective boot retaining plate (1).
5. Remove the rubber protective boot to reveal the bulb (2).
6. Remove the bulb.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE



1. Install the bulb.
2. Install the rubber protective boot (2) over the bulb.
3. Install the retaining plate (1) to secure the boot.
4. Install electrical connections.
5. Install the rear license plate lamp to the rear fascia.





NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

6. Install the rear license plate lamp screws.

Tighten
Tighten the rear license plate lamp screws until fully seated but not stripped.
