Frame Mount Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE





1. Raise and support the vehicle.
2. Use a transmission jack to support the rear differential.
3. Scribe a reference mark on the vehicle body around the perimeter of the rear axle cradle mount to ensure proper reinstallation.
4. Remove the bolt which secures the rear axle cradle mount to the vehicle body.
5. Slightly lower the rear axle cradle.
6. Remove the protective shield from the rear axle cradle mount.
7. Remove the bolt which secures the rear axle cradle mount to the rear axle cradle.
8. Remove the rear axle cradle mount.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE





1. Install the rear axle cradle mount.
2. Install the bolt which secures the rear axle cradle mount to the rear axle cradle.
- Tighten the bolt to 100 Nm (74 ft. lbs.).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install the protective shield to the rear axle cradle mount.
4. Raise the rear axle cradle into place.
5. Align the rear axle cradle mounts to the reference marks which you scribed during the removal procedure.
6. Install the bolt which secures the rear axle cradle mount to the vehicle body.
- Tighten the bolt to 65 Nm (48 ft. lbs.).
7. Remove transmission jack.
8. Lower the vehicle.
9. Adjust the rear toe to specifications.
