WINDOW REGULATOR - FRONT DOOR

Window Regulator Replacement - Front Door: Removal Procedure:

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to "Door Trim Panel".
2. Remove the water deflector. Refer to "Water Deflector".

CAUTION: Disconnect the power window switch when working inside the drivers door. When operated, the Express Down feature allows the door window to drop very quickly, which could cause personal injury.

3. Loosen regulator window clamp bolts.
4. Manually move glass to up position and hold in place with tape.
5. Remove the five retainer bolts (1) and (2).
6. Disconnect the electrical connector from the window regulator motor.

7. Remove the window regulator (1) from the door.

Window Regulator Replacement - Front Door: Installation Procedure:

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the window regulator (1) into the door.
2. Locate the two captive bolts (2) into the keyhole slots in the door panel.

3. Install the three remaining bolts (2) to secure the regulator.

Tighten
Tighten the window regulator bolts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

4. Install the window to clamps.

Tighten
Tighten window clamp bolts to 11 N.m (97 lb in).

5. Connect electrical connector to window regulator motor.
6. Install the water deflector.
7. Install the door trim panel.
