1998 Cadillac Seville - Built Prior to VIN Breakpoint WU916500 with 4.6L Engine (VIN Y - RPO LD8)

Condition

Some customers may comment on excessive air flow or air that is too cold coming from the instrument panel vents, when in Auto and switching from Heater to Bi-level mode.

Correction

This condition may be corrected by a recalibration of the Instrument Panel Integration Module (IPM) Using the scan tool updated with CD # 3/980.3xx, dated February 5, 1998 or later, select Instrument Panel Module/Special Functions/Miscellaneous Tests IPM Recalibration. Download calibration version # 7120 to the IPM. A verification of the new calibration may be performed in Module Information.
