Tail Lamp: Service and Repair
REMOVAL PROCEDURETail Lamp Replacement: Removal Procedure:
1. Open the rear compartment lid.
2. Remove the rear compartment sill plate.
3. Pull back on rear compartment trim panel.
4. Disconnect the tail lamp connector (3).
5. Press the grommet (2) out of the rear compartment.
6. Remove the nuts (5) retaining the tail lamp (1) to the body.
7. Remove the tail lamp (1) from the body.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
Tail Lamp Replacement: Installation Procedure:
1. Route the tail lamp connector (3) and the grommet (2) through the body.
2. Verify that the grommet (2) is fully seated in the body.
3. Install the tail lamp (1) to the body.
4. Install the nuts (5) to retain the tail lamp (1) to the body.
Tighten
Tighten the nuts to 4.5 N.m (40 lb in).
5. Connect the tail lamp connector (3).
6. Install the rear compartment sill plate.
7. Close the rear compartment lid.
