Crankshaft Balancer Installation

^ Tools Required
- J 39344 Crankshaft Balancer Installer
- J 36660 Torque Angle Meter





1. Position the crankshaft balancer on the nose of the crankshaft.





2. Press the crankshaft balancer in place using the J 39344.





3. Clean the crankshaft balancer bolt threads.
4. Apply engine oil to the crankshaft balancer bolt threads.
5. Install the crankshaft balancer bolt.
^ Tighten the crankshaft balancer bolt to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.).
^ Using the J 36660, tighten the crankshaft balancer bolt an additional 150 degrees.
