Seat Back Frame Replacement - Front
REMOVAL PROCEDURESeat Back Frame Replacement - Front: Removal Procedure:
1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to Disabling the SIR System in SIR.
2. Remove the front bucket seat.
3. Remove seat back trim cover.
4. Remove seat belt post rear cover.
5. Remove shoulder belt retractor.
6. Remove upper front seat belt post cover.
7. Disconnect electrical connectors from lumbar and SIR.
Seat Back Frame Replacement - Front: Removal Procedure:
8. Disconnect electrical connectors for the heated seat, or air lines and electrical connectors for adaptive lumbar.
Seat Back Frame Replacement - Front: Removal Procedure:
9. Remove seat back cover J channels on left and right sides and bottom to access four bolts (two on the left side and two on the right side)
10. Remove the four bolts retaining seat back frame to recliner.
11. Lift straight up on seat back frame to disengage from lower assembly.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
Seat Back Frame Replacement - Front: Installation Procedure:
1. Slide seat back straight down into recliner and align bolt holes.
2. Install four seat back frame bolts.
3. Reconnect heated seat electrical connectors, or air lines and electrical connectors onto adaptive lumbar.
Seat Back Frame Replacement - Front: Installation Procedure:
4. Reconnect SIR and lumbar electrical connectors
5. Reinstall seat cover J channels (left, right, and lower).
6. Install front seat belt shoulder retractor.
7. Install rear seat belt post cover.
8. Install seat back trim cover.
9. Install seat in the vehicle.
10. Enable the SIR system. Refer to Enabling the SIR System in SIR.
