Battery positive voltage (B+) is supplied at all times to each adaptive lumbar module via CKT 2840 (ORN) from the rear junction block MEM T&T Fuse. The LH adaptive lumbar module is supplied ground via CKT 5Fa (BLK) to 0302. The RH adaptive lumbar module is supplied ground via CKT 650 (BLK) to 0302. Battery positive voltage (B+) is supplied with the ignition switch in the ON position to each adaptive lumbar module ignition input via CKT 41 (BRN) from the rear junction block IGN 3 Fuse. The adaptive seat system only operates when the ignition switch is in the ON position. Battery positive voltage (B+) is supplied with the ignition switch in the ON position to each lumbar switch via CKT 1740 (ORN) from the adaptive lumbar module.

Manual Control
When the lumbar switch is operated to move the lumbar out, battery positive voltage (B+) is applied via the out switch contacts and CKT 1065 (YEL) (LH) or CKT 211 (DK BLU) (RH) to the adaptive lumbar module. In response to this input, the adaptive lumbar module supplies a pulse width modulated signal via CKT 9172 (RED) and ground via CKT 9173 (BLK) to the lumbar pump motor. The lumbar pump motor runs to supply air to the lumbar air bladder in the seat back. Adding air to the bladder increases the support. When the lumbar switch is operated to move the lumbar in, battery positive voltage (B+) is applied via the in switch contacts and CKT 1064 (DK BLU) (LH) or CKT 210 (WHT) (RH) to the adaptive lumbar module. In response to this input, the adaptive lumbar module allows air out of the lumbar support bladder. Releasing air from the bladder decreases the support. The adaptive seat may be manually adjusted at anytime the ignition switch is in the ON position.

Adaptive Control
When the lumbar switch is moved down in the OFF position, battery positive voltage (B+) is applied via the OFF switch contacts and CKT 2291 (PNK) (LH) or CKT 2293 (PPL) (RH) to the adaptive lumbar module. In response to this input, the adaptive lumbar module will release all air from the air bladders. When the lumbar switch is moved up in the AUTO/ON position, battery positive voltage (B+) is applied via the AUTO/ON switch contacts and CKT 2290 (WHT) (LH) or CKT 2292 (PNK) (RH) to the adaptive lumbar module. In response to this input, the adaptive lumbar module will automatically adjust the support to the occupant by supplying a pulse width modulated signal to the lumbar pump motor to add air into the bladder or release air from the bladder.
