REMOVAL PROCEDURE

Carpet Replacement - Front: Removal Procedure:

Tools Required
J 38778 Door Trim Pad and Garnish Clip Remover

1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to Disabling the SIR System in SIR.
2. Remove the front seats.
3. Remove the center console.
4. Remove the foot rest.
5. Remove the front carpet retainers.
6. Using a J 38778 remove the four retainers from the front and rear carpet overlap seam.

Carpet Replacement - Front: Removal Procedure:

7. Separate the floor vents from the floor ducts before removing the front carpet.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

Carpet Replacement - Front: Installation Procedure:

1. Lay the front carpet into the vehicle.
2. Work the front edges of the carpet into place under the instrument panel.
3. Install the floor vent into the floor ducts.

4. Install the four retainers into the floor pan at the front and rear carpet overlap seam.
5. Install the center console.
6. Install the foot rest.
7. Install the front carpet retainers.
8. Install the front seats.
9. Enable the SIR system. Refer to Enabling the SIR System in SIR.
