REMOVAL PROCEDURELatch Replacement - Rear Compartment Lid: Removal Procedure:
1. Open the rear compartment lid.
2. Remove the rear compartment lid trim panel.
3. Disconnect the electrical connector (1) from the rear compartment lid latch.
Latch Replacement - Rear Compartment Lid: Removal Procedure:
4. Remove the latch release cable (3) from the rear compartment lid (5).
5. Remove the bolts (1) retaining the rear compartment lid latch (2) to the rear compartment lid (5).
6. Remove the rear compartment lid latch (2) from the rear compartment lid (5).
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
Latch Replacement - Rear Compartment Lid: Installation Procedure:
1. Install the rear compartment lid latch (2) to the rear compartment lid (5).
2. Install the bolts (1) to retain the rear compartment lid latch (2) to the rear compartment lid (5).
Tighten
Tighten the bolts (1) to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
3. Install the latch release cable (3) to the rear compartment lid (5).

4. Connect the electrical connector (1) to the rear compartment lid latch.
5. Install the rear compartment lid trim panel.
6. Close the rear compartment lid.
