Knee Diverter: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

IMPORTANT: Replace the steering column opening bracket if any damage exists. Do not repair the steering column opening bracket.

1. Remove the filler trim.
2. Remove the 4 fasteners from the knee bolster reinforcement (2).
3. Remove the knee bolster reinforcement (2) from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the knee bolster reinforcement (2) to the vehicle.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the 4 fasteners in order to secure the knee bolster reinforcement.

Tighten
Tighten the fasteners to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

3. Install the filler trim (3).
