Intake Air Resonator Replacement
Air Induction System:
REMOVAL
Numbers in text correspond to numbered components in image.
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Disconnect the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor (4) electrical connector.
3. Disconnect the Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor (5) electrical connector.
4. Release the air intake hose clamps from the air cleaner housing and the MAF sensor.
5. Remove the air intake hose (6) from the air cleaner housing and from the MAF sensor.
6. Release the Idle Air Control (IAC) inlet hose clamp.
7. Remove the IAC inlet hose (1).
8. Release the air inlet hose clamps at the throttle body.
9. Remove the air inlet hoses (7) from the throttle body.
10. Disconnect the electrical connector from the switchover valve.
11. Disconnect the vacuum connections at the switchover valve and the vacuum tank.
12. Remove the intake air resonator nuts (3).
13. Remove the intake air resonator.
INSTALLATION
1. Install the intake air resonator.
2. Insert the intake air resonator guide pin (2) into the rubber mount.
3. Install the intake air resonator nuts (3).
Tighten the nuts to 3 Nm (27 lb in).
4. Connect the vacuum connections at the switchover valve and the vacuum tank.
5. Connect the electrical connector to the switchover valve.
6. Install the air inlet hoses (7) to the throttle body.
7. Install the air inlet hose clamps at the throttle body.
8. Install the IAC inlet hose (1).
9. Install the Idle Air Control (IAC) inlet hose clamp.
10. Install the air intake hose (6) to the air cleaner housing and the MAF sensor.
11. Install the air intake hose clamps to the air cleaner housing and the MAF sensor.
12. Connect the Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor (5) electrical connector.
13. Connect the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor (4) electrical connector.
14. Reconnect the negative battery cable.
15. Reprogram the applicable accessories.
